This Thursday, the 30th, AC/DC released the official music video for "Through The Mists Of Time," which features the band playing in a digitally inserted version of the Parisian museum The Louvre amidst digital replicas of paintings such as Michelangelo and Botticelli 's The Birth of Venus .
"Through The Mists Of Time" is part of the 2020 album, Power Up , made in tribute to AC/DC founding member Malcolm Young , who died in 2017 due to complications from dementia.
In a 2020 interview, Brian Johnson spoke about “Through The Mists Of Time”: “The riff came first and Angus wrote the lyrics for that song and I believe he captured everything – the early days, when the band started, when rock and roll was something carefree, when nobody cared about anything other than having fun and playing.”
“All that lovely innocence is lost. And I think the lyrics encapsulated that feeling. To be honest, every time I listen to it I still get chills, and it’s a tribute to Malcolm, 'Through The Mists Of Time'. It’s different. I don’t know if it differs from everything we’ve done before, but it certainly stands out,” he concluded. Check out the video:
