Band loses to Taylor Swift in revenue
According to Pollstar, AC/DC was the artist with the highest number of concert tickets sold in 2015. In financial terms, the band was second only to Taylor Swift: AC/DC earned $180 million with 2,310,061 tickets sold, while Swift earned just over $250 million with 2,273,328 sales.
Rounding out the top 5 highest-earning artists are One Direction, U2, and Foo Fighters. Also in the top 20 are The Rolling Stones (10th), Paul McCartney (13th), and Billy Joel (18th).
Currently, AC/DC is promoting the "Rock Or Bust Tour," from the album released in November 2014.
