Last Tuesday, the 13th, music journalist José Norberto Flesch published updates on his X (formerly Twitter) about the Australian band AC/DC and the American group Bon Jovi . According to the journalist, the bands, which were scheduled to perform in Brazil in 2024, have postponed their visit to the country until next year.
José Norberto Flesch correctly predicted several appearances by pop and rock stars in Brazil. The journalist announced the shows of Paul McCartney and Roger Waters last year, for example.
In October 2023, Flesch also posted on his X account that AC/DC would be performing at Rock In Rio 2024. Another journalist, Lauro Jardim, also confirmed the news, saying that in addition to the festival, the band would also be playing shows in São Paulo. In a new post made by Flesch last Tuesday, the 13th, the band "received excellent offers from Europe and will leave Brazil for later," he wrote.
Bon Jovi had already been announced by Flesch in a video on his YouTube channel in January of this year. According to him, the band would be touring Brazil with their 40th anniversary tour between September and October 2024. It's important to mention that Jon Bon Jovi , the band's frontman, recently underwent reconstructive surgery on his vocal cords. The journalist even mentioned the procedure in his new post, saying that the band would also postpone the performance to next year.
Last shows in Brazil
Bon Jovi, who just announced a new album and single release , has already performed in Brazil five times in different parts of the country. Their most recent shows were in 2019, including one at the annual Rock In Rio "This House is Not for Sale" tour .
The Australian band AC/DC announced in February of this year their first tour since 2016. Their last performance in Brazil was in 2009, with a single show in São Paulo, at the Morumbi Stadium, as part of the Rock Or Bust ( via AC/DC Brasil ).
Now, fans can only wait for updates on the shows, which, according to José Norberto Flesch, may not happen until 2025.
