Accept has announced that Phillip Shouse be part of the band's lineup, becoming the third guitarist alongside Wolf Hoffmann and Uwe Lulis .
Shouse joined the band to replace Lulis for some shows in the United States while he recovered from reconstructive leg surgery to treat a problem he has had since a motorcycle accident he suffered almost ten years ago.
According to a Facebook post, the group initially invited him only as a substitute, but soon realized it made sense to bring him into the official lineup. Uwe and Shouse will debut the new formula on their South American tour, which includes shows in Chile, Colombia, and Brazil.
