Stories of adventures involving friends and alcohol, consumed safely, are always fun. But Brian Johnson and Malcolm Young outdid themselves with a night remembered by the AC/DC .
In an interview with NME , Johnson pays tribute to his friend by recounting a mystical adventure the two faced. “We both had these Land Rovers [car brand] and we took him on a trip through Scotland, Malcolm loved his fireworks and he brought a big box along. One night, we were more than a little tipsy and staying at this hotel by the lake. Malcolm just said, 'Come on, let's go find the Loch Ness Monster! I've got fireworks and maybe I'll attract it!'”
Brian continues recounting the experience, “And there we were, going straight into the water, with our shoes on, the water up to our knees, and it was freezing! I barely had a glass of whiskey in one hand and a box of fireworks in the other, and I was trying to set the lake on fire. We were just having fun. By the time we got back to our wives we had straws in our hair and were covered in mud. What a night!”
