In this week's Wikimetal poll, the AC/DC show was voted the most anticipated announcement by fans in 2014 with 38% of the votes. Five Finger Death Punch and Slayer came in second and third place, with 35% and 22% of the votes respectively.
AC/DC has already been to the country three times, the first time in 1985 at the first Rock In Rio and the second time playing in São Paulo and Curitiba in 1996. The last time they were in the country , playing a show at the Morumbi stadium in São Paulo in November 2009, the band played a setlist of 19 songs, opening with Rock 'n' Roll Train and ending with For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) .
Lead singer Brian Johnson recently announced that 2014 will mark AC/DC's 40th anniversary, with a possible new album and 40 shows around the world, "to thank the fans for their loyalty."
