According to Australian radio host Eddie McGuire , AC /DC is expected to return to the stage with vocalist Brian Johnson
McGuire revealed during the Triple M Melbourne that the band is planning a new album with Johnson, who left in 2016 after suffering hearing loss. Furthermore, according to the radio host, the group is expected to tour with the frontman .
“My source says the new album should arrive between February and March, and the tour should take place in Australia in October and November 2020,” he said. “After a lot of work and research, they managed to find a device that helps Johnson with his hearing.”
The radio host also mentions that there's a possibility the band will reunite with drummer Phil Rudd , who left in 2015 after being sentenced to prison for drug possession and threatening a former employee with death.
The first time a reunion was mentioned was in 2018 when Rudd and Johnson were seen outside a studio in Vancouver. Rumors intensified when a source close to the band said the rock icons were preparing a new album featuring recordings by the late guitarist Malcolm Young .
