Amid the holiday season, a curious fact about one of the most influential groups has resurfaced. The legendary Australian band AC/DC wrote a Christmas song inspired by the current President of the United States, Donald Trump, decades before his political career.

The song in question is "Mistress for Christmas," from the album The Razor's Edge , released in 1990. That year, Donald Trump was a New York real estate mogul known for his intense media presence, as well as his personal life and affair with Marla Maples , which dominated the gossip columns.

The song, with its Christmas bells and energetic guitars, stands out precisely because of its satirical and festive tone. It's like a contrast to the heavy hard rock the group is known for. The song functions as a easter egg that connects the world of music with flashes of pop culture and the press from the 90s.

According to guitarist Angus Young , as reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, the band saw an opportunity to poke fun at the image of the millionaire playboy. In later interviews, Young confirmed that the irreverent lyrics, with verses evoking excess, parties, and superficial relationships, were written humorously and freely inspired by the headlines of that era.

Although the track was officially released on the album, it was never part of AC/DC's live concert setlist, making it one of the few recordings by the band that remained on the fringes of their live performance history, despite the overall popularity of The Razor's Edge and their other hits, such as "Thunderstruck" and "Moneytalks".

AC/DC sells out 3 shows in Brazil.

Launched in 2024, the second phase of the Power Up Tour celebrates the album and the band's legacy with large-scale shows in Europe, North America, and South America. Brazil will be one of the highlights of this journey, with AC/DC returning to the country after more than 15 years to perform at Estádio MorumBIS. The opening act will be The Pretty Reckless , led by Taylor Momsen.

Power Up Tour finally arrives in Latin America with 3 dates in Brazil. Initially announced with a single date in São Paulo on February 22, 2026, the tour has gained two new dates. With shows on February 28 and March 3, after tickets sold out in about 95 minutes.
