AC/DC fans have gained more material about the group, this time a documentary that focuses on the band's origins in Sydney.

Produced by Australian filmmaker and journalist Tom Compagnoni , Exploring AC/DC's Forgotten Sydney: Lost Landmarks Of Rock History has a runtime of 30 minutes.

The book takes a tour through the city, showing the early rehearsal spaces, concert venues, and the house in Burwood, demolished in January, where Angus and Malcolm Young learned to play guitar and would form the group years later.

Documentary takes a complete tour through the history of AC/DC in Sydney.

The official synopsis says [via Blabbermouth ]:

AC/DC is one of the greatest rock bands of all time — and it was born in Sydney. Although the Burwood City Council recently commissioned a fantastic mural in honor of Angus and Malcolm Young, the rest of the city still lacks statues, plaques, or major tributes to the group's legacy. In fact, some of the most significant landmarks linked to their history are being neglected — or even demolished.”

In this documentary, I take a personal journey through Sydney to uncover the forgotten milestones of AC/DC's history — from their early rehearsals in Newtown to their first shows, recording sessions, and Malcolm Young's final resting place.

Along the way, I reflect on how Sydney's treatment of AC/DC compares to how other cities celebrate their rock icons—especially Liverpool in the UK, which I recently visited on a personal pilgrimage to Beatles .

"Whether you're a die-hard AC/DC fan or simply passionate about music history, this deep dive reveals stories, places, and sounds that deserve to be remembered."

Currently, AC/DC is on tour in the US, while the documentary focusing on the band's origins is available on YouTube.
