AC/DC bassist: "It's my time to leave"

Check the statement.

AC/DC today released a video in which bassist Cliff Williams announces his retirement from touring and recording. Check out his statement and the video below (no subtitles):

"It's my time to leave, that's all. Not because we lost Mal, Phil, or Brian. I mean, a lot changes when something like this happens. When Bon died, everything changed back then. You know, everything always changes, so it's not that. It's just… I'm ready to get off the road, really, and do what I do.".

Between tours we take a few years off so I know what it's like to do this. I know I'm going to do it. Again, it's my time. I'm happy. I just need… some time with my family now… just to rest, do this.

I couldn't have asked for more, being with the people I'm with and have been with, and being in this band, playing these songs.”

AC/DC's tour ends today with a show in Pennsylvania.
