Former Immortal vocalist Abbath has revealed he is willing to reunite with his old band.
In an interview with Dagbladet Magasinet , when asked about the possibility of a reunion, the artist stated, “Immortal reunion? Hmm. I received a message from Horgh [drummer Reidar Horghagen ] saying it’s great that I’m sober. Harald and I haven’t spoken. But there’s no more ‘bad blood’ or bitterness on my part. I realize I was part of the problem. Things are great for me now.”
“But am I open to a meeting with the Immortal? Yes, of course,” Abbath revealed. “But it has to be something special. I just wish we could have sat down and talked things through when everything went to hell, instead of involving lawyers.”
The singer, who left the band in 2014 due to his addiction to drugs and alcohol, which Abbath claimed at the time was just an excuse for his bandmates to get rid of him.
Since then, he has focused on his career with his band, but episodes like the show in Argentina in 2019, where he only managed to sing two songs, interrupted his journey and forced him to cancel the South American tour and focus on sobriety, entering rehab soon after.
