Abbath took to social media to explain the his South American tour . According to a statement, the reason was the vocalist's substance abuse problem.
So, the musician took the opportunity to announce that he will be entering rehabilitation:
“It’s no secret that I’ve struggled with addiction. I’ve realized now that it’s time to fight this demon. I’ve entered a rehabilitation program, which will help me get clean once and for all. I feel more motivated and determined than ever to win this battle,” he wrote.
"Right now I'm very eager to come back clean, stronger, more focused and motivated than ever. Nothing will stop us," the musician concluded, adding that all of this year's shows have been canceled.
