Black metal icon Abbath has released a video revealing he has been sober for almost two months, following his disastrous show in Argentina in November 2019.

There, he played two songs while drunk and was unable to continue the performance. He threw himself into the audience in an attempt to crowdsurf and then went backstage, leaving thousands of fans demanding refunds for their tickets. The fury was so great that some fans were arrested after causing "violent events".

Two weeks later, Abbath revealed he would be checking into rehab to “fight the inner demons of addiction” and confessed to being committed to treatment. Now, he says he's preparing for his European tour – see the dates here – and although sobriety is going well, “it sucks”.
