Abbath performed yesterday in Argentina in a set with only two songs. Guitarist Ole André Farstad was not present at the show.

Now, the band has confirmed that the rest of the South American tour has been cancelled. In a statement on social media, the band wrote:

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of our South American tour. Due to health issues that require treatment, we were unable to complete the shows in Argentina and Brazil."

The production company Overload also released a statement, which can be read in full below:

"Overload regrets to announce the cancellation of the performance by the Norwegian band Abbath, which was to take place this Sunday (11/17) at Carioca Club, in São Paulo, for reasons completely beyond the producer's control."
