A new socially distanced concert venue is being built in England

The venue, which will have a capacity of 2,500 people, should be available in August

With the arrival of the new semester, many countries are beginning to implement the easing of restrictions and the reopening of some venues. And to try to alleviate the losses in the music industry, drive-in or concerts with social distancing are some of the options being considered. Based on this, an arena specifically designed for events during the pandemic is being built in the city of Newcastle, England.

The venue, named Virgin Money Unity Arena , is being developed by SSD Concerts and Virgin Money , with the aim of transforming an outdoor space into a safe environment during the pandemic. The arena is expected to be available for events in August, starting with a music festival.

The venue should accommodate approximately 2,500 people, who will be separated onto several platforms where friends and family arriving together can stand. Food and drinks will be available upon prior request and will be delivered to the corresponding platforms. Restrooms will have a single entrance and hand sanitizing stations nearby.
