Last Tuesday, the 22nd, Tool performed in Los Angeles as part of their tour promoting their new album Fear Inoculum , and among the thousands of people in the audience was Eddie Van Halen .
The legendary guitarist was with his son Wolfgang, who recounted a funny story that happened after the show: "A guy asked my dad if he could take a picture of him with the stage behind him, without having any idea who he was talking to, and that was my favorite moment of the TOOL show yesterday."
The situation didn't seem to bother Eddie, who took the photo the fan asked for, and Wolfgang captured the moment in a picture shared on his social media. See below.

Recently, the guitarist, now 64, revealed his cancer diagnosis , which returned after treatment that included surgery to remove a third of his tongue. According to TMZ, Eddie has been traveling to Germany for the past five years to treat the new illness.
