A Day To Remember: Bassist announces departure from band after harassment allegations.

Several accusations have surfaced alleging that the harassment began ten years ago.

Last Wednesday, the 13th, bassist Joshua Woodart announced his departure from A Day To Remember following the resurfacing of harassment allegations.

On Twitter, some users began commenting on the harassment allegations against Woodart, which began 10 years before becoming public in July 2020. In response, a woman named Kaia Eve explained her case, stating that the bassist "hired a private investigator to come to my house, harassed me with phone calls, and filed a lawsuit against me."

She also said that she hired a lawyer and added: "They dismissed the lawsuit the day before the court hearing, so I can only assume it's because he didn't want my statement about him raping me to be public."

In light of the controversy on social media, Joshua released a statement saying he decided to halt the legal proceedings due to the pandemic and because he has a daughter on the way. "It's not fair to my bandmates and brothers to be involved in or affected by any of this, so I've made the decision to step down from my position in the band as of today," he wrote.

“I’m going off tour to be with my family and continue to defend my innocence in these matters.” The musician also thanked A Day To Remember for 18 years of partnership and said he continues to strive to be a better person. See the full statement below.

A Day To Remember released the album You're Welcome and had begun a tour to promote it. It is not yet known who will replace him.
