Welcome to this incredible journey through the history of heavy metal music!
Hard 'n' Heavy Chronology playlist was created with the aim of exploring the complete history of heavy metal, hard rock and its various subgenres, starting with what I consider the starting point of heavy metal, Black Sabbath , from 1970. From then on, all the albums, maintaining the most faithful chronological order possible, are represented by a single song that best represents their sound, allowing the listener to explore those albums that most appeal to them through that song.
This playlist is the result of extensive research, carried out with great passion and dedication over the last 2 years and encompassing more than 5,000 songs. Even so, much may have been left out or is out of order (some items are also not available on the chosen streaming service, such as parts of the discographies of Black Sabbath , Motörhead , or Manowar , for example), so suggestions, criticisms, and opinions are always very welcome in the comments.
Creating this playlist was an incredible experience that strengthened me as a fan of the genre and added a vast amount of knowledge, which I hope to share with everyone who follows it.
Follow the playlist to keep up with the new albums that are added.
Tip: Use the search filter to find your favorite bands, but following the chronological order is much cooler 😉
Note: No subgenre or band has been favored or discriminated against. Regardless of whether you like a particular style or band, they will appear here, from the most melodic to the most extreme.
Note 2: Some songs ended up out of order because they were added later and, even though they were placed in their correct position, the list is not always properly updated for users other than the creator.
Note 3: Suggestions, comments, and criticisms can also be made via direct message on Instagram @insta_luisfernando
