Beholder's Cult

Paradise Lost, November's Doom, Draconian . These are some of the influences we can attribute to the great sound found in Our Darkest Home , the new album from the Brazilian band Beholder's Cult, a journey through the realms of gothic/doom metal.

Desert Druid and the Acid Caravan

The São Paulo-based power trio Desert Druid and the Acid Caravan , with their debut EP The VVitch, an ode to proto-doom metal, blues, and 70s hard rock, paying homage to the masters and most prominent names in heavy metal, while also paying homage to more contemporary artists like the English band Uncle Acid and Deadbeats.

With their 2020 single “Tell Me”, the quartet Wood Crown honors the Goian tradition of excellent stoner rock and rock’n’roll bands (such as MQN and Hellbenders ) and presents a robust and mature track, avoiding some of the genre's usual clichés and showcasing a distinct and raw groove.

Void Tripper

One of the best releases in Brazilian stoner/doom rock arrived in June with Dopefiend , the debut album from the Ceará-based band Void Tripper . Combining psychedelic passages with blazing riffs and excellent production, the new material from the quartet from Fortaleza is one of the highlights of the year in the genre so far, further solidifying the band's place within the underground scene.

Low Tide Riders

Directly from Curitiba/PR comes the quartet Low Tide Riders , formed by experienced names from the local scene and with a sound that bets on the elements of stoner metal to deliver an energetic performance with The Road , the band's first studio EP released in 2020 by the Abraxas label, and who are already preparing new material.
