Bring Me The Horizon will be coming to Brazil for a single show in São Paulo, at Allianz Parque, on November 30th – buy your ticket here . This will be the band's only performance in the country, and the show will feature support from Motionless In White, Spiritbox , and The Plot In You.

In preparation for the show, we've compiled a list of seven songs we're hoping to hear from the British band. Some are classics, and others are tracks we're hoping vocalist Oli Sykes will include in the setlist! Check it out:

“Can You Feel My Heart” by Sempiternal (2013)

A classic from the band, it's part of one of the fans' favorite albums, Sempiternal . During an interview, Oli said that the song is about "admission, admitting that you have a problem and admitting that something is wrong, that's the first step of the whole album. In my life, I've had to admit certain things to go further. They all deal with different topics."

“Can You Feel My Heart” was also the first song Oli wrote with keyboardist Jordan Fish before joining the band in 2013 – a partnership that would go on to produce very successful work for the band. Jordan is no longer in the band today.

“The House of Wolves”, by Sempiternal (2013)

Here, Oli talks about religion and its role in his life. “Lyrically, it’s all about religion. Before we wrote this album, I was in a position where I was being asked to believe in God, to get better, and I just couldn’t understand that, so that’s what I wrote about. It’s about [how] there’s no salvation, there’s no one who’s going to save you. You have to get better because you want it for yourself, your family, or your friends, not because you believe there’s a man in heaven,” he explained during an interview.

“YOUtopia”, by POST HUMAN: NeX GEn (2024)

The song, from the band's latest album, showcases BMTH's metal roots but with a more pop appeal, something the band has been experimenting with since Sempiternal .

“Follow You” by That's the Spirit (2015)

Sykes recounted during a track-by-track conversation for Spotify that the song's lyrics were based on his relationship with his wife during "a particularly difficult phase when things weren't looking very good." He explained that the overarching message was that "no matter how bad being together can be sometimes, the opposite is much worse."

“MANTRA”, by Amo (2019)

Metal Hammer magazine , the vocalist revealed that the song was inspired by Wild Wild Country , a documentary about the controversial Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, explaining that "while I was watching and trying to write the lyrics at the same time, I was drawing these similarities with cults and love."

Speaking about the lyrics themselves, he said that “starting a relationship – especially a marriage – is like starting a cult, a small cult of two men, because you have to completely surrender yourself to that person, you have to trust them, you have to love them unconditionally… so that’s where the thought behind the song came from.”

“Sleepwalking”, by Sempiternal (2013)

Another classic from the band and from Sempiternal , "Sleepwalking" is a song about depression and ketamine addiction. It tells the story of a period in his life when he was struggling with depression and the medication ended up causing more problems than it solved.

“[Ketamine] takes users away from reality, causing hallucinations and distorted perception. It’s not cocaine. It’s cheap, easy and fast… It took away my ego. It took away who I was,” he revealed during an interview with NME.

“mother tongue”, by Amo (2013)

Currently, lead singer Oli Sykes is married to Brazilian model and singer Alissa Salls , and the union has even resulted in the purchase of a residence in Brazil and the issuance of a CPF (Brazilian taxpayer identification number) for the singer.

The album title, amo , conveys the feeling in Portuguese and also plays on the word "ammo" (ammunition, in English), representing love as a form of ammunition for the album.

In this song, the musician makes the connection between him and Alissa's origins even clearer.

Bonus

There are so many songs we want to hear at the BMTH show that we decided to include two bonus tracks!

“nihilist blues feat Grimes”, by Amo (2019)

A collaboration with singer Grimes , the song was quite successful due to its more electronic and pop sound. Perhaps Grimes' part will be given to Courtney LaPlante , who will be opening for the group with "Motionless In White" and "The Plot In You."

“medicine”, by Amo (2019)

The song is about Oli's last relationship and its breakup. Fish commented during an interview that "it's about people who are negative influences and how when they leave your life things get much better."

"It's a mix of our band's electronic and radio-friendly elements, but it still has characteristics of some of the greatest songs we've done before."
