In preparation for their shows in Brazil, Wikimetal has selected 5 songs for you to get to know the band. Check them out:
“Evil” from the album Antics (2004)
Based on a grotesque story, "Evil" is one of the band's biggest hits. According to various sources, the song was inspired by the story of Fred and Rosemary West, a couple who raped and murdered teenagers in England between the 1960s and 1980s.
“Evil” reached number 18 on the UK Singles Chart and number 24 on Billboard magazine's Modern Rock Tracks chart.
“Obstacle 1” from the album Turn On The Bright Lights (2002)
The second single from the album Turn On The Bright Lights, following "PDA", "Obstacle 1" reached number 41 on the UK Singles Chart and was critically acclaimed at the time of its release.
“PDA” from the album Turn On The Bright Lights (2002)
Considered by many fans to be one of Interpol's best songs, "PDA" is the group's debut single. Despite its success among fans, the song never charted.
“Specialist” from the EP Interpol (2002)
“Specialist” was not part of the band's final cut for the album Turn On The Bright Lights, which made it an unreleased B-side in its structure, carrying the diverse sounds that give life to Interpol.
“Untitled” from the album Turn On The Bright Lights (2002)
The first track from their debut album, “Untitled,” is bold even in its name. The song showcases the breadth of the band's sound, making it perfect for introducing who Interpol is.
