In 2018, one of the greatest bands of all time celebrated its 50th anniversary: Led Zeppelin.

Since 1968, the band has inspired countless artists and fans, and even though they ceased operations a long time ago, everyone still holds out hope for a reunion.

With that in mind, the website Alternative Nation compiled a list of five reasons why Led Zeppelin should reunite in 2018.

Check out the list below:

Playing old songs doesn't turn an artist into a jukebox.
One of the most common arguments used by vocalist Robert Plant when questioned about why he doesn't plan a band reunion is that he doesn't want to be called a jukebox, since he will only be playing old songs. According to the website, this shouldn't be enough to appease fans, as Plant plays his old Led Zeppelin songs in his solo shows. "He wrote them, so it's normal that we want to hear him play them ," the website claims. The journalist goes on to say that major bands that reunited, such as Guns N' Roses, Eagles, The Who, and Black Sabbath, didn't write new material after their reunion.

Jason Bonham is basically John Bonham.
"Okay, nobody is John Bonham and nobody ever will be. He's the best drummer that ever existed ," the text begins. The journalist goes on to say that Jason Bonham, John's son, has a style very similar to his father's and has already played with the remaining members of Led Zeppelin, so it wouldn't be a problem to ask him to replace his father.

They would make a lot of money.
"Not that they need it ," the website warns.

50 years is a very important milestone
. It really is. And many bands haven't even reached half of that, so they should celebrate this important date in style; after all, it's half a century.

They are legends.
That's the most important reason. The band emerged during a period full of great music: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, The Mamas & The Papas, The Doors… and they found a unique sound. Led Zeppelin is one of the few bands that breaks the age barrier and "young and old would sell an arm and a leg to see a show like that ," the text says.

And here's a bonus reason: They are the biggest and best rock band in the world.
