When the British duo Royal Blood emerged in 2013, their garage rock sound quickly transformed into an excellent self-titled debut album. With this work, Royal Blood was able to showcase their talent and quickly won over rock fans with just their bass and drums.
A little over a decade later, the duo continues to make music and win fans around the world. On April 13th and 16th, Royal Blood will come to Brazil to perform in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, respectively, and in preparation for the shows, we've compiled some reasons why you can't miss the duo's performance.

The duo consists of just a bass guitar and a drum set.
As mentioned earlier, Royal Blood consists of only a bassist and vocalist, Mike Kerr , and a drummer, Ben Thatcher. Few musicians can maintain the quality of their music with just these instruments.
Energy show
Besides being able to create quality music with just two instruments, the duo is capable of delivering an energetic show worthy of the name rock and roll, complete with headbanging, as they demonstrated at Lollapalooza Brazil in 2018.
Diverse influences
The duo openly reveals that their influences and inspirations are very diverse. During an interview with Tenho Mais Discos Que Amigos , Thatcher revealed that he listened to a lot of Jimmy Page and learned a great deal from him. Thatcher and Kerr were also invited to be part of the 30th anniversary celebration of Metallica 's Black Album , with a cover of "Sad But True". Check it out below.
Recognition of big names in music
The icing on the cake in Royal Blood's career is the recognition from big names in music, including influences of the duo themselves. Artists such as Dave Grohl, Tom Morello, Metallica , and Jimmy Page have already shown great interest in the band.
In November 2014, Jimmy said: “I went to hear them in New York. They were fantastic. Absolutely fascinating, they are such fine musicians. Their album has become something serious in some details. It's so smooth to listen to because they play with the spirits of the things that preceded them, you have to listen, they will elevate rock to a new level – if they aren't already doing so, since their music is of tremendous quality.”
