Keeping up with new rock and metal bands and artists isn't always easy, especially with bands that haven't yet been discovered by the general public. As part of Wikimetal to strengthen our community and showcase new talent, we've compiled this list of the best discoveries we've made recently on Groover , a music curation platform.

Lunar Woods

The Russian band Lunar Woods brings the dark sound of Alice In Chains to "Pain No More," the title track of their debut album, released in early March. Although not about the current war started in the band's home country ("We are not the Russian government," they warn), the track addresses the world's suffering at this moment and aims to be a helping hand to listeners.

Dan Collor

In “Seven Lives,” Dan Collor delivers an instrumental piece brimming with emotion, guided by the guitar's nuanced yet vibrant and moving tones. The track is part of the guitarist's debut EP, released last year.

SHRKS

In “Won't Back Down”, the French band SHRKS showcases their explosive style, a blend of EDM elements with heavy metal, powerful vocals, and an addictive chorus. The trio, formed during the pandemic, works remotely, with the vocalist in Canada and the other musicians in France. The group is preparing for the release of their debut album, featuring 10 new tracks, on April 8th, 2022.

Truce

The Canadian band Truce has just formed and, after only a year together, they already show cohesion and a well-defined direction in "Ghost," their second single, an intense rock track about inner demons in the struggle for sobriety.
