Cradle of Filth is a British extreme metal band formed in 1991 in Suffolk, England, by Dani Filth (founder and lead vocalist) and its initial members, including original guitarists Paul Allender and Robin Eaglestone . Initially rooted in traditional black metal, the band quickly evolved into a unique style of symphonic black metal, incorporating gothic, orchestral, and even operatic elements, which made them icons of the genre.
