The tour celebrates the release of his eighth solo album, The Overview . An audacious project containing only two tracks: “Objects Outlive Us,” at 23 minutes, and “The Overview,” at 18 minutes. Each is inspired by the “overview effect” that astronauts experience when viewing Earth from orbit.

Returning to Brazil after 7 years
The Overview Tour marks Steven Wilson's first solo tour of Latin America in 7 years. The last time the artist was in Brazil with his solo band was in 2019, promoting the album To The Bone (2017). Since then, Wilson has released three more albums: THE FUTURE BITES (2021), The Harmony Codex (2023), and the album that gives its name to the current tour. He later returned in 2022 with Porcupine Tree .

In an interview with Rolling Stone , Steven Wilson revealed that his show will be divided into two parts: the first featuring various hits from his career and the second featuring tracks from his most recent album.
“The show will be quite epic, visual, and multimedia. The first half will be a cross-section of songs from my entire career. The second half of the show will feature The Overview in its entirety, along with the film I commissioned to accompany the album,” he explained.

In a statement on his official website, Steven Wilson revealed that he will be playing some tracks from the album The Harmony Codex (2023) for the first time. The artist's seventh studio album is a 65-minute experimental project with 10 tracks that have their own musical identity.
