ROCK FOR PEOPLE 2024 – MEET THE HEADLINERS
BRING ME THE HORIZON
With nominations for the prestigious Grammy Award and BRIT Award, and numerous wins at the Kerrang! Award and Heavy Music Award, the British band is rapidly becoming one of the most successful rock bands today. Bring Me The Horizon's quality has been confirmed by their rise to the elite league of world-famous bands, successfully joining the ranks of traditional headliners who have dominated prime time on the biggest festival stages around the world for decades.
Bring Me The Horizon headlined Reading & Leeds in 2022 and, in 2023, was the main attraction at the legendary British Download festival, alongside the great bands Metallica and Slipknot , in front of 130,000 people. Thanks to their contribution, the festival sold out for the first time in its history. The band is one of the most anticipated names at the 2024 edition of Rock For People.
PARKWAY DRIVE
The Australian metal band released their seventh studio album, Darker Still, in 2022. The band's vocalist, Winston McCall , states that Darker Still is a vision that he and his bandmates – guitarists Jeff Ling and Luke Kilpatrick , bassist Jia O'Connor , and drummer Ben Gordon – have carried in their minds since 2003, when the diverse group of friends first met in their parents' basement and backyard.
Starting out as metal outsiders, Parkway Drive have become shining stars of music festivals after nearly 20 years of hard work, six critically and commercially acclaimed studio albums (all certified gold in their home country), three documentary films, a live album, and thousands of shows to crowds of fans around the world.
AVRIL LAVIGNE
Avril Lavigne is a Canadian pop, rock, and punk-rock star who began her career as a singer and teen idol at just 16 years old, when she started topping the charts. She achieved great success with her debut album Let Go , which included hits like "Sk8er Boi" and "Complicated," and Avril showed she had no intention of leaving the scene. Since then, she has received numerous awards and nominations, including eight Grammy nominations.
Avril Lavigne continues to redefine her sound, including her punk-inspired comeback album Love Sux , released in 2022, and her presence on the music scene remains invaluable. The album featured collaborations with several artists, including Machine Gun Kelly, Blackbear , and Mark Hoppus of blink-182 .
