The book recounts former manager Danny Goldberg's experience with the Nirvana frontman
On April 5, 1994 Nirvana's frontman Kurt Cobain by suicide. 25 years later, his songs continue to reach millions of people and win over new fans.
This week, in celebration of Cobain's legacy, the band's former manager, Danny Goldberg , released the book Serving the Servant: Remembering Kurt Cobain . The book recalls the genius that surrounded the vocalist's depressive and melancholic personality.
According to Goldberg, Kurt Cobain "belongs to a group of artists whose art transcends their time," reinforcing the importance of the musician who was one of the main pillars in the creation of the grunge genre, which remains relevant to this day.
Bleach (1989), Nevermind (1991), and In Utero (1993) are considered great classics, and right at his peak, Kurt Cobain committed suicide. At 27 years old, with a wife – Courtney Love – and a daughter – Frances Bean Cobain – the musician left a letter signed “It’s better to burn out than to fade away (…) Peace, love, and empathy.”
