In addition to the traditional Brazilian and World Panorama sections, this year the festival is promoting the "Music and Machines" Special, with a series of films and activities showcasing music creators and electronic musical devices, and concludes the film program with the Flashback Showcase, dedicated to rescuing historical titles never before shown at the festival.

The event also features a varied Parallel Program that includes meetings, master classes, debates, exclusive musical performances, commented sessions, the traditional Vinyl Fair and, for the first time, a Book Fair, with hundreds of titles on music and film at special prices.

The opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 12th, at 8:30 PM at CineSesc, in a free session for the public and guests, featuring the national premiere of the documentary Devo , by Chris Smith, about the band formed in 1973.
