Black Sabbath 's "13" was voted the best album of 2013, in a landslide victory with 71% of the votes. In second and third place were Avenged Sevenfold's "Hail To The King," with 19% of the votes, and "The Winery Dogs," with 6%.
"13" was released on June 11th, and is the first Black Sabbath album with Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Tony Iommi since "Never Say Die," released in 1978. Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk participated in the album's recording, replacing original drummer Bill Ward.

The album “13” reached number 1 in sales in the United Kingdom and the United States, where it sold 155,000 copies in its first week. This was the first time Black Sabbath had topped the sales charts in the US. In the UK, the last time the band reached the top spot on the official charts was with Paranoid, 42 years ago.
“13” is nominated for a 2014 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. The first single, God Is Dead , is nominated in the categories of Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Song.
