This week, Wikimetal brings an episode about a great Metal band from the South of the United States. We spoke with the frontman and vocalist of Texas Hippie Coalition, Big Dad Ritch!

Our guest spoke about the birth and history of the band, whose influences go from ZZ Top and Pantera to Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.

Speaking about his first coming to Brazil, two years ago, Ritch tells us that it was one of the few times he ever cried in his life:

“I'm an emotional guy, even being a big guy. I can tell you how many times I've cried in my whole life, and they're not a whole lot. I teared when my children were born, and when my father died. But the only time I shed a tear on stage was on that São Paulo show.”

With a team of over 20 reporters and photographers, the Wikimetal newsroom brings you daily news, coverage, interviews, and other relevant content from the world of rock and metal.
