77 years ago, on April 14, 1945, one of the most important guitarists in the history of music was born: Richard Hugh Blackmore , known worldwide as Ritchie Blackmore .
Among the numerous achievements in Blackmore's career, the founding of Deep Purple , a band that helped create and define a style, is undoubtedly a landmark.
As if that weren't enough, Ritchie Blackmore created Rainbow , revealing to the world the vocalist of an obscure band called Elf : none other than the legendary Ronnie James Dio. Later, Blackmore also created his folk music project called Blackmore's Night . With so many achievements, the musician was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
