Our editorial team dreamed big and created the dream lineup for the next edition of Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza 2019 took place this past weekend in São Paulo, and expectations for the next edition are already heating up. With bands like Bring Me The Horizon , Greta Van Fleet , and Fever 333 , rock and heavy metal fans had the opportunity to have fun, but they could have had more bands of the genre, couldn't they?

With that in mind, the Wikimetal editorial team got together and imagined what the perfect lineup for rock fans would be. Check out our predictions for Lollapalooza 2020 and leave a comment telling us which band you'd like to see perform.

Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown

The Nashville-based band released their debut, Wild Child , in 2013 and have since released another album and are preparing the follow-up to their self-titled album, Truth and Lies , scheduled for release later this year.

Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown have already participated in Brazilian festivals, having performed at Rock in Rio and then at São Paulo Trip in 2017.

Architects

With Bring Me The Horizon and Fever 333 in the lineup, fans of heavy metal and harder rock can dream. The metalcore group released Holy Hell in 2018 and has since been on an extensive tour to promote the album. Remember, Holy Hell was considered one of the best albums of the year here at Wikimetal.

The Darkness

The English hard rock band recently announced the release of their sixth studio album, Easter Is Cancelled , for October of this year and is expected to tour soon after, increasing the chances of the band coming to meet their fans.

Tool

Tool 's new album is practically legendary, but there's no harm in dreaming, is there? The band has been teasing their fans with studio photos and cryptic messages , and it's possible we'll get something new from them this year.

After 13 years without releasing new music – their last album being 10,000 Days in 2006 – the group is planning a major tour to promote their new work, and we are hopeful that it will include Brazil.

Deftones

Another band that fans are hoping will release something soon is Deftones . After Gore (2016), the group took a break for a while but recently confirmed that a new album – or at least a single – should be released this year.

Rival Sons

After guitarist Scott Holiday told United Rock Nations that the new album is the band's "best work," expectations were high. Feral Roots came out in January of this year and truly delivered one of the Americans' best albums.

To promote the album, the band could come to Brazil and continue the great work they did when they opened for Black Sabbath in 2016.

Korn

In a recent interview , Brian Welch commented that the last three years after the release of The Serenity of Suffering were "beneficial," as the group needed a break to "spend time with their families."

Now, the guys are ready to come back and Welch has guaranteed that the new album will have big surprises. "These are things we don't normally do. Everyone is going to love these ideas we have."

Papa Roach

In January of this year, Papa Roach released Who Do You Trust?, their tenth studio album. The album addresses strong and everyday issues in the lives of the band members, especially vocalist Jacoby Shaddix . Depression, alcoholism, and addiction are some of the themes.

The group is currently on tour promoting the album, and when the band spoke with Wikimetal , they didn't hide their desire to come to Brazil and perform the album live.

system of a Down

Despite ups and downs, System of a Down remains active. Despite the contradictory statements the band members have been making, the group isn't expected to record a new studio album, but Serj Tankian and company continue touring , performing occasionally. A tour in Brazil wouldn't hurt anyone, would it?

Bob Dylan

Among the many heavy rock names, we thought of someone to deliver a classic, more mellow show. Bob Dylan has been on the road for over 60 years and continues to impress fans with his humor and talent.

Who wouldn't want to listen to the lighthearted "Blowin' In the Wind" after a tiring day of walking around the Interlagos racetrack?

Rolling Stones

The sky's the limit, right? So why not hope that Lollapalooza brings Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts , and Ron Wood ? What a quartet!

Blue & Lonesome , the band's last studio album, was released in 2016, and since then rumors have circulated that they've returned to the studio – Keith Richards has even revealed some details about the work. So why not show a snippet to the Brazilians at the festival?
