Metal Hammer has compiled a list of albums that may still be released this year but are leaving fans waiting. Check it out:
10. Metallica – “Where else could we begin? With the clock ticking down to eight years since Death Magnetic, it’s no surprise that we’re getting a little annoyed waiting for a new Metallica album .”
9. Avenged Sevenfold – “With the band still recording demos, it’s still unclear whether a new Avenged album will be released this year.”
8. Marmozets – “With a whole wave of British bands releasing brilliant albums this year, let’s hope Marmozets don’t get left behind.”
7. Of Mice & Men – “The album following 2014’s Restoring Force has already been announced and
Cold War will be released on September 9th .”
6. Meshuggah – “Although there’s no official release date yet, this one is definitely going to happen.”
5. Korn – “Exactly when we’ll get the 12th album from the godfathers of Nu-Metal isn’t clear yet.”
4. Neurosis – “Leader Scott Kelly recently revealed that Fires Within Fires will be released on September 23rd. Expect something that sounds like the Earth exploding, as always.”
3. Every Time I Die – “Okay, we’re cheating a little here. After all, it hasn’t even been two years since ETID released the excellent From Parts Unknown.”
2. Rammstein – “We got a taste of new material with the band’s recent European tour when they opened the set with a song that ended up being dubbed Ramm4 on the internet. It’s just a crumb of comfort we have, because 2016 is looking less and less likely for new Rammstein .”
1. Tool – “It’s now been a decade since Tool released 10,000 Days and we don’t seem to be any closer to knowing when their next album will arrive.”
